Golf Cart Rental Agreement

This Golf Cart Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is between Sandbridge Carts ("Company") and the Renter ("Renter") for reservation (your reservation).

1. Rental details

• Rental week: Saturday, (check-in date) through Saturday, (check-out date) (7 nights).
• Delivery: by 4:00 PM on (check-in date).
• Pickup: by 10:00 AM on (check-out date).
• Delivery address: (your rental address).
• Number of carts: (number of carts). Cart number(s) are assigned by the Company and recorded at delivery: (assigned at delivery).
• Total paid at booking: (your total). This includes delivery, pickup and a full battery charge on delivery.

2. Payment, cancellation and weather

1. Payment in full is due at booking. A reservation is confirmed only after payment is received.
2. Cancellations made 14 or more days before the check-in date receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable.
3. Rentals are not refunded because of weather, since the cart remains available during the rental week.
4. Returning a cart early does not entitle Renter to a partial refund.

3. Authorized drivers

1. Only authorized drivers may operate a cart. An authorized driver must be 21 or older, hold a valid driver's license, upload a photo of that license, and sign the Company's Liability Waiver before delivery.
2. Renter is responsible for ensuring that no one else drives a cart, including any minor, any person without a valid license, or any person who has not signed the waiver.
3. The Company may refuse delivery, or retrieve a cart, if these requirements are not met. In that case, the cancellation terms in Section 2 apply.

4. Rules of use

Renter and all drivers agree to:

1. Obey all traffic laws. Carts are low-speed vehicles and may only be operated on public roads with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less, and never on roads or areas where their use is prohibited.
2. Keep carts in the Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach. Carts may not be taken onto the beach, sand dunes, boardwalks, trails, lawns or other off-road areas.
3. Never drive under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, drugs or any substance that impairs driving. No open containers of alcohol are allowed in the cart.
4. Carry no more than 6 people, the cart's seat count. Every passenger must be seated, and no one may stand, ride on the rear deck, or hang off the sides.
5. Follow Virginia child-restraint laws for any child passengers.
6. Not tow, push or carry loads beyond the cart's rated capacity, or use the cart for any commercial or illegal purpose.
7. Not modify, repair or attempt to repair the cart, and not remove any Company equipment.
8. Remove the key and lock the storage compartment whenever the cart is unattended. Park only in legal spaces and on private property with permission.
9. Charge the cart only with the charger and method the Company provides at delivery.

5. Condition, return and fees

1. Renter will inspect the cart at delivery and report any existing damage to the Company before first use. The Company may photograph the cart at delivery and pickup.
2. At pickup, the cart and key must be at the delivery address, reasonably clean and free of sand buildup, trash and personal items.
3. The following fees apply when they are incurred: lost or unreturned key $75; excessive cleaning $50; cart not available at the scheduled pickup time $50 per additional trip.
4. Damage to, loss of, or theft of a cart is covered by the separately signed Damage and Financial Responsibility Agreement.

6. Breakdowns, accidents and emergencies

1. If a cart stops working, stop in a safe place and contact the Company at (757) 650-4590. The Company will repair or replace the cart when reasonably possible. The Company's only obligation for a mechanical failure that is not caused by Renter is a pro-rated refund for time the cart could not be used.
2. In an emergency, call 911 first. Renter must report any accident, injury, theft or damage to the Company within 1 hour, and obtain a police report when police respond.

7. Tickets and fines

Renter is responsible for all traffic and parking tickets, fines, tolls, towing and impound fees incurred during the rental week.

8. Termination

The Company may end this rental and retrieve a cart without refund if a cart is used in violation of this Agreement, operated by an unauthorized driver, or used in an unsafe manner.

9. Privacy

The Company collects driver's license images and contact information only to verify drivers and administer the rental. The Company does not sell this information.

10. General terms

1. This Agreement, together with the Damage and Financial Responsibility Agreement and each driver's Liability Waiver, is the entire agreement between the parties for this rental.
2. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
3. Renter agrees to sign this Agreement electronically, and that the electronic signature below has the same effect as a handwritten signature.

By signing, Renter confirms that they have read and understand this Agreement and agree to its terms.
